These kids rule!

If you haven’t been living under a rock, then you must have watched the BBC Dad’s video a thousand times thanks to his two little children who interrupted his “serious” interview. I don’t want to write more on the “happy” family blooper but all I have to say is that these kids are the latest superstars on the internet!

I absolutely love the “hippity-hoppity” strut! Lol!!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! 🙂 ❤

Marching Forward

life-gift-quoteHey everyone – I hope you all have an excellent start to the new month. I have begun watching a really old TV series that I used to watch way back in 2007, and I vividly remember relating to it a lot. I couldn’t contain my excitement when I stumbled upon it on YouTube today.

The TV show reminds me of so many good, positive things from back then. I had so many dreams and so many desires! I think when you are younger, it is easier to dream, it is easier to imagine your life in a certain way, and as you grow older, your perspective changes and everything around you becomes more real. The practicalities of life take over.

It is quite weird that this TV show has inspired me to start dreaming ‘big’ again or at least to start realizing and living my dreams. I am so nostalgic right now, but at the same time, I can’t stop smiling. It’s an amazing feeling for sure!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Valentine’s Day has never held much significance in my life. Somehow, on every Valentine’s Day, my boyfriend and I were either fighting or just taking a break from our relationship — only to get back within a month’s time. So even after being with him for close to 5 years, I never celebrated 14th February! It’s quite odd, isn’t it? I think it’s hilarious!!

City of Stars

I am in love with this song! That melody can make you feel alive yet tear you up so easily!! I have been listening to it on loop since last week. Love it!!!

What’s your favourite La La Land song? 🙂

Good vibes to all in 2017!

It’s time to bid farewell to one hell of a year! If you haven’t been living under a rock, you will agree with me that this year, we saw a host of well-loved stars pass away, we experienced multiple waves of political and social upheaval and oh well, we also struggled with our very own demons!

I hope 2017 is easy on each one of us. Now neither you nor I can control the external factors, but we sure can promise ourselves to make it a fulfilling year!

Happy Holidays!

With less than 10 days until Christmas, I am sure the excitement levels of each one of you are at an all-time high! We have finally ushered into that beautiful phase of the year where we are busy with last-minute holiday preparations.

Whether you are traveling, busy setting up the Christmas tree (if it isn’t already!), dining with friends or just staying in with family — I hope you all have a wonderful, wonderful time!

I am going to be spending the last two weeks with my family — and when I say ‘family’, I mean my relatives as well! We all are going to the beach and I’m really very excited. I hope it’s as joyful as I think it will be. It’s been awhile since we all got together!

Can’t wait to get my sunnies on!!

Pantone’s Color of the Year 2017 — Greenery

So the color forecasters at Pantone Color Institute have picked Greenery as the Color of the Year for 2017 – and honestly I’m loving it! 2016 has been quite a tumultuous year from a global point of view. It’s been a year of social and political upheaval, including the personal battles, which left a lot of us feeling defeated and disappointed.

December feels

I just can’t believe it’s the 1st of December already! Just a year ago, I was in Gurgaon — living a completely different life. I was managing a home. I had a full-time job. I had an amazing friend circle. Let’s say I was too busy to even take note of anyone or anything else. I was content or well, that’s what I used to think so!

I have nothing to offer to you.

Last week my ex-boyfriend, with whom I spent a little more than 4 years of my life (on an on-off basis, of course), got in touch with me — again. I wasn’t surprised. He has a habit of coming back every now and then to check how I am doing without him, etc.

It’s actually quite amusing, you know. Because he was never available when we were dating — like ‘literally’ never and when I found happiness elsewhere, he just wouldn’t have any of it. And this time when he told me he still loves me, I realized that it was all Karma — what goes around, inevitably comes around.

Off to Mumbai!!

I haven’t take a proper break since last May. So this weekend trip to Mumbai is a boon. Even though I’m still carrying my laptop and I plan to work in flight, I will most definitely don my tourist cap soon after I land.

I look forward to spend some quality time with family.

Hope you all have a great weekend. 🙂

Where every ‘crust’ is scrumptious

I wrote this Food Review two years ago. 🙂

Upper Crust is, undoubtedly, my favorite restaurant in Ahmedabad. The ambience of the place is simple and warm. It is always packed with a lively crowd, no matter what. I have always had a great culinary experience there. Whatever I have tried there has been appealing. But there is one dish that I have never been able to get enough of and that is ‘Olive Chicken Steak’ which I try every time I visit. The plate is an assortment of garlic bread, boiled vegetables, cheese spaghetti and chicken steak.

A heavenly plate of everything delicious! Photograph by Asavari Sharma.

I still remember the first time I ordered the ambrosial platter. The first thing that I tried was garlic bread. Nothing could compare to the essence of a freshly baked and fluffy piece of flour. The two slices of bread were stained in butter and this made them even more irresistible. The bread loaves easily gave in to me. They melted in my mouth with ease just as two lovers would in each others’ arms. Oh! It was just divine.
